Max Plaxton won the Canada Cup Finals in Mount Washington, BC. Plaxton beat Geoff Kabush by more than 3 minutes. Plaxton won the Canada Cup for the third time in 2006.
Max had been looking for a performance to give him a boost of confidence before the August 26 World Championships in Rotorua (New Zealand). Plaxton will be competing for the title of U23 at World Championships.
Rocky Mountain Business Objects had a strong showing in the National Series race. Matt Hadley and Fred Bussieres, pro-am teammates, had strong performances and finished 6th and 8th in the final Canada Cup. Alison Sydor was 2nd in senior women’s race. Pro-Am rider, Meghan Kindree, finished 8th.
Eight riders from Rocky Mountain Business Objects will represent the Rocky Mountain Business Objects Team at the upcoming World Championships. Marie Helene Premont and Alison Sydor, Max Plaxton and Raphael Gagne were selected to Canada’s 2006 Worlds Team.
